Ah, you were telling me about this at Easter. I know absolutely nothing about bikes, modern or period, but that does look rather splendid.

I've posted up my mini review of the KA lower receiver in the already open topic in the "Weapons" section :good:

Great - I can be victim of a German drive-by shooting this year, then.

You must be rich?
Last time I went they were selling standard Sturm stuff at top level prices? And it was out of season.
Bloody good museum though.

Prices didnt seen too bad, smock - £35, grenades £10 each, spork £5, helmet cover £15, trousers £35, braces £5 i'd say that was about right but yes some of the other stuff was a tad expensive ( original helmet and cover 4000+euro  ) and yes, the meseum is really good even though it's small :good:

I can't help myself! I've been at it again...

From Derby's Cattle Market carboot sale this morning:

1x 1943 dated British '37patt wire-cutter pouch, in lightly used/washed-out condition, but still completely usable with no damage
2x (a pair) 1941 dated British '37patt 3-pocket cartridge pouches, in unused condition, but with non-pebbled buttons and straight belt attachments rather than kinked, so perhaps Commonwealth made?
2x tins of 1940s British military "Sterilizing Outfit - For use with waterbottles", complete with miniature glass bottled contents and instructions. One has a brown lid with creamy-green writing in mint condition, the other had a black lid with apple-green writing in a semi-rusty condition.
All of the above for £14!

1X 1955 dated faux-leather British army jerkin, in mint-unissued condition - £1!

Those are not British and not '37 pattern.
There is a great debate over where they actually come from but all agree they are not what they are usually sold as.
The '37 pattern carrier only had two pockets.

If you look a page 33 of the 1st edition of 'Equipment of the WWII Tommy' by D. B. Gordon it shows 3 pocket cartridge pouches and web belts of earlier patterns that were still being produced for limited issue at the beginning of the war after Pat 37 webbing had been officially adopted.
